About iOS Tor Browser

About iOS Tor Browser

Tor developers recommend an iOS app called Onion Browser, which is open source, uses Tor routing, and is developed by someone who works closely with the Tor Project.

However, Apple requires browsers on iOS to use something called Webkit, which prevents Onion Browser from having the same privacy protections as Tor Browser.

You can check out the link in this lecture resource to learn more details.

I don't recommend using it unless it is not have to. As I don't think it safe, also i won't discuss alternative iOS applications and their uses in this lecture. Only if you really need it, you can find this Onion Browser develop by Mike Tigas by searching through the App Store, but is unreliable about security and privacy. If the developers of the Tor project release a stable iOS application, I will have included in this section already.
